Posture Analysis
Posture is simply the relationship and alignment between muscles, joints and bones within the body. Incorrect posture allows
physical stress to build up in certain tissues ultimately leading to pain and injury (Chris Norris - Abdominal Training).
The two most important components of posture are flexibility and strength. Postural changes are often associated with poor
muscle tone (weak or lengthened muscles) and too much tone (short and tight muscles). This imbalance of tone creates an
uneven pull from muscles around a joint, causing the joints to move away from their optimum position within the body.
Through a personalised posture assessment and muscle balance tests we will identify postural deviations. The results of
the assessment will be used to prescribe a Pilates based exercise programme to redress the balance in muscle tone.
Assessment lasts approximately 1½ hours and can be done at your home or our premises. (15-20 mile radius from Tring, Herts).
